Harrow Council and Newframe
Forward-thinking Harrow Council and NewFrame have announced their collaboration at the Show on a UK first for the integration of transparent solar glass technology on a social housing retrofit. This AI enabled concept follows Harrow’s successful GLA grant-funded bid for fabric-first measures to electric-powered homes. Installed by Newframe, these sheltered outdoor spaces that also power the home, offer a combination of well-being and environmental improvements that are a critical and unique factor of the concept’s approval. Zero-concrete ground screw foundations that produce 60% less CO2 and are recyclable and reusable combine with panels that are bi-facial and 30% more productive as well as having a minimum lifespan of 30 years.

« We are proud to be involved and can’t wait to see the impact this green, clean and futuristic canopy will have for both resident and Council alike. »
